1. Everything starts with an emotion
Every Varriale perfume is born from an intuition: a memory, a landscape, a city, an encounter.
We don't follow fashions , we don't chase seasonal trends.
We prefer to ask ourselves:

What is the sensory story we want to tell?
It is at this moment that the name of the perfume was born.
From there begins a journey of agreements, attempts, and nuances. Like an artist before a blank canvas.
2. The invisible heart: the olfactory pyramid
Each fragrance takes shape in an olfactory pyramid divided into three parts:

Top notes : they are the most volatile, the first you perceive.

Heart notes : they are the soul of the perfume, they emerge after a few minutes.

Base notes : they are the trail that remains, deep and persistent.
This is where our artistic team's work begins.
A combination of perfumers, technologists and creatives who combine artisanal sensibility with scientific precision.

3. Selected raw materials and Made in Italy supply chain
Italy is our skin.
This is why we choose to produce everything in our country , relying on certified laboratories that comply with IFRA regulations and guarantee safe, traceable and not animal-tested ingredients.
Our raw materials come from Grasse, Florence, Milan, but also from small artisan distillers.
Each ingredient is tested individually before being integrated into the final composition.

We do not use animal derivatives or prohibited ingredients.
4. The formulation: when science meets skin
Once the notes have been chosen, the work in the laboratory begins.
The essences are dosed with absolute precision, down to the tenth of a gram.
Each sample is left to mature for several days : only in this way can we feel if the molecules blend well on the skin, if the fragrance evolves in the right way.
At this stage the following is tested:

Perfume persistence (how long does it last)

The sillage (how long it leaves a trail)

The balance between notes (none should overwhelm the others)
Only formulations that pass all these tests are chosen.
And even then, we refine them several times.
Because a perfume shouldn't just last. It should have a story to tell.
5. Maturation and maceration
Once the formula is defined, the perfume is not yet ready.
Like a good wine, it needs time.
Each Varriale fragrance is left to mature for approximately 30 days in steel or dark glass barrels, in temperature-controlled environments.
During this period:

The notes blend together

Excess alcohol evaporates

The perfume “stabilizes” and takes shape
Only at this point can we say that a new Varriale perfume has been born.
6. Design: form and function
Each Varriale bottle is designed to be essential, elegant, timeless.
We are not interested in surprising with excessive shapes: we want the scent to speak for itself.
The glass is thick and protective, the vaporizer is chosen to ensure a fine and uniform nebulization, the cap is ergonomic and resealable.
Yes, because for us the sensory experience begins even before the sense of smell.
Sight, touch, gesture… everything must be consistent with the emotion we want to evoke.
7. Quality control: each bottle is hand-tested
Before being shipped, each perfume is:
